Refugees welcome!

Our children and youth centre „Big Point“ (Gorch-Fock-Str. 63, 26721 Emden), funded by the city council of Emden, offers plenty of possibilities for sports and leisure activities. There are many playing fields on which kids and adolescents (from 6 to 27 years) are able to play soccer, basketball, tennis, field hockey, badminton, volleyball, track and field athletics and many more for free! Equipment and balls can be borrowed in our institution.

Indoors our young visitors have the opportunity to play billard, table tennis, darts, table football, party and card games, watch tv and play videogames, listen to music, use computer and internet or just relax and have snacks and drinks.

The Big Point employees, social education workers, are taking care of the kids so they have got a safe place to spend their leisure time. Every young person is welcome in our institution, regardless of which country they are from, which religion they worship, or which political and social background they have got. The kids just have to respect the Big Point´s rules, like no violence, no abusive language and a respectful treatment with each other.

So if you or your family have fled your native country and your residence is in the city of Emden at present, please feel encouraged to send your children to Big Point!

The youth centre´s purpose is to assist children in their successful personality development, like it is anchored in German law.

Opening hours from 2pm to 8pm (Monday-Friday).
